Collective Spirits
Collective Spirits was an exhibition, which mapped and celebrated the rich inter-connected relationships and artistic practices; of a group of diverse artists, who live, work, and create in the Whitehorse area.
Many of the exhibiting artists had worked together for over ten years in various local studios. The show brought together a small selection of their large artistic output, and invited their extended, local, creative networks to exhibit along-side them - including art facilitators, artist friends and family members. Through various projects and a wide range of multi-disciplinary artworks, powerful circles of support, collaboration and art making were revealed, existing in this local community.
Individually, each artist’s work displays distinctive styles and approaches, reflecting their own unique perspectives and experiences. Collectively, their work embodies the spirit of imagination, experimentation and a connection to people and place.
This project was created with support from MK Education and co-curated by Amie Anderson.
